Can't believe I missed this. With the new semester starting, I've been really busy & focused on getting settled at the new school. I have also been hard at work reorganizing my garage and trying to clear out enough space to bring my Evo home from the shop I have been storing it at. And I haven't been on here in a while, either.

So when is the next one?

I had to work and just couldn't get off in time to make the drive up! Was rather upset that I couldnt make it...I'm really hoping that I can make it to the next one.

I just realized this existed, and more exiting that there are Locosts in St. Paul area. :D

Include me into the next meeting. I don't have a locost but I am sure everyone can give me tips and tricks on building my own.

I'll try to touch base with Chuck over the next week or so and see if he's still interested in hosting these.

So I was driving back to my apartment yesterday and saw a locost driving along cedar lake parkway I think. Was that anyone on here?

I want to say it was black with orange accents maybe? Didn't get a very long look at it.

So, I assume most people on here have a house and garage to work in but I currently rent an apartment in the cities and have to go down to Rochester to work on any car projects at my mom's house. I would like to get away from this, both for convenience and to stop using her garage space and get my own.

I am wondering does anyone rent shop space or just own a garage and rent an apt or condo? I have looked into commercial locations but I really cant justify such high rent for my own hobbies at this point. I have looked on craigslist but most places are obviously just to store your car and not do work and I want a basically semi permanent location so I can bring up my welders and such and not worry about getting kicked out haha. I would love to get a place at the Automotorplex but that is not affordable for me(although I would be one to buy a 100k garage and just rent before owning a house lol).

Any info or suggestions on this would be great.

thanks!
Ben

Hi all,

I signed up to the forums just recently and saw this thread. I'm sorry to have missed the meetings. Are there any more coming up this summer/fall? Is there a website out there for this?
