Stylistically, the Nissan IDx concept car looks kind of like a sculpted brick, but I think this is a lot more interesting than most of the cars in Nissan's current lineup.
If they'd give it a manual gearbox, I'd buy one. Right now, they say a 1.6L with a CVT.

I think it is worse than the Camaro revising GM did. I'd go so far as to call it downright ugly.

Oh, I appreciate the concept of a small, lightweight sedan with a high revving engine, but I dearly hope very little of this concept makes it to the street.

Oh, I don't agree. I've always liked the styling of the 510, still do! This new concept does absolutely nothing for me style wise.

The Datsun 1600 (your 510), which is hugely popular in Australia to this very day and is a very pretty car by any 3 box standard.

This concept reminds me more of the Datsun Cherry Coupe ...
