Not building on this so I figure I should be posting here.
Having a blast cruising any chance we get. To date there are 1635 kms (1000 mi) on the Super 7 L.S.O. Today we did a 250 km (150 mi) with a couple of the wifie's uncles and our youngest son and his wife. Yeah they're all cycle heads but we allow them to follow behind us. :)
Weighed the car the other day and it came in at 2350 lbs wet.

looks great Perry, it would be good to try to hook up with some of the other AB7s sometime this year. Weve had motor bikes tag along on various blats as well.

Went for a 6 hr 400km cruise on wifies Bday the other weekend. Kids took a pic during one of our rest stops. You gotta love a wife that loves cruisin in a 7. We have over 2800kms on the car now.

Beautiful fall day today, 26C this afternoon. Went on a 509 Km (300 mile) run today to Ashmont, Alberta, Canada to Porky's BBQ and Grill for an excellent pig roast. The atmosphere is Harley biker bar but anyone is welcome. Youngest son and his wifey rode up on their Harley with us along with my wife's uncles, wifes, friends, you get the drift - it was a blast. Left home at 8:30 am and back home at 8 pm. Life is good....

Picked up the 7 traller this weekend. Test fit the L.S.O.
Next is to hook up to motor home, figure out the tie down points, and take it for a test drive.

Perry,

Could you say a little more about the wind break behind the seat backs in the later pictures? Is it mesh, or clear plastic? Is it effective?

You look like you're pretty near to headin' out, Perry. Do you have a travel agenda yet?

You know, those high back seats look pretty darn good. I guess I've gotten used to seeing the Kirkey seats in so many builds, that yours are pretty novel. But, they look good.

Cheers,

Warren - The air dam is made of plastic, is does make a difference. There is less buffeting between the seats. I have seen some hi end convertibles with screen type air dams.

Lonnie - I retire in 10 1/2 months. Wifey and I are planning to travel to Eastern Canada next summer. This summer we are going to southern Alberta (Medicine hat) for a week just to try things out. Just getting all things in order for next year.

Congratulations on the retirement, Perry, even though it's 10 months and (30/2 - 1) days off now. What you're about to find out is that you've never been busier, but it's in a fun way. You'll like it.

Cheers,

Perry,

If east includes Nova Scotia stop by: the threat of your arrival might accelerate my build processes!

Hey Warren - you bet, Nova Scotia is on the list. From there to Newfoundland. I may be quizzing you for economical camping in Nova Scotia, we plan on spending a few weeks there as a base camp and day tour with the 7 from there.

Great weekend for cruising. +31C (89F)
Wifey and I did country roads, highways, and flea markets. Put 600 miles on the LSO, wifey takes pics but they don't do the ride justice.
Life is great!

Hey Perry-
When you gonna hook the trailer to the motorhome and drive that train to Florida? The guy we bought the house from had an RV, so he installed 110 and 220 outlets on the side of the house. You could back the motorhome down beside the house, plug it in and camp for free! (We'd even let you use the indoor potty...)

Lemme know, so's I can stock up on Cap'n Morgan!
JDK

PS- We gots more hills in NW Florida than y'all have in your end of Canada!!!

Perry, how did your trip to the warm end of the province work out? Too bad I didn't get a chance to see your car up close, though I did get a quick glimpse of it while I was out on a flight and we came back over the lake.
