I used plastic tubing for all my fuel lines, even though I'm an instrument mechanic and running stainless tubing is something I do lots of at work and I had access to free tubing. I used Sinflex, it's a reinforced plastic tubing with Teflon lining used for truck air brake systems. It stands up to gas and oil, and the stuff I used is rated for 300 psi, so plenty for fuel lines. It's available at any heavy truck shop, as well as brass compression fittings. I used stainless steel fittings from work for my setup though, because I had a bunch of used ones that I've scavenged over the years.
