I'm curious what you're using for the air cleaner adapter thingie? Also how tall is it? I have a short single plane manifold set up for injection, so if I put that on top of a 4 bbl throttle plate I would be set...

I'm looking for as low a height solution as I can get.

This is what I'm running with a cone filter attached to it. I have it facing backwards to be able to clear the hood bulge. From where it bolts to the carb to the top most part of the piece is about 4".

Sweet looking build! Looks like you're running a Top Loader, so I have a question. I'm probably going to use my B/W Super T-10 behind a 5.7 Chevy, did you offset the driveline to gain leg clearance in the tunnel. My first mockup with about 3/4" to the passenger side still felt too close to the leg with the shifter.

Thanks! The motor and trans is centered to the frame but to clear the big shifter linkages I did have to offset the tunnel towards the driverside. The trans tunnel section is asymmetrical. I couldn't tell you how far over I had to extend since it was so long ago that I built it. It definitely is on the tight side for the pedal setup.

The frame is finally in paint. Finished at around 11:30 pm. Roommate did all the shooting. We are beat.

Andrew thanks for the pointer to the intake stuff. They have some other styles too and I guess I could skip the 4 BBL throttle plate and go for a single OEM style throttle plate and that would buy at least a couple more inches....

Man, you are really moving along. Good job. It all looks very professional.

Cheers,
