Congratulations, that's a big step.

Cheers,

I have built a sand rail for a freind ,rebuilt another couple and i have the bug again.I took a break from the lotus stuff ,got a nice metal lathe and a great little miller tig welder that after watching a million youtube videos on how to set it up properly ..and melting many scrap peices if tube together ,i can confidently weld quite nicely.I sold off the haynes project and really learnt a valuable lesson..keep this stuff simple.Im going to build a solid axle ,4 cyl simple as can be car ,like they should be ..not some electrical nightmare that takes a genius and way too much money to run ,and of course the money side of it ..i lost interest at 10k and i was half way there and it wasnt running. At this point im looking into the 2.2 chevy engines ,just need to make sure i can bolt a gearbag behind it and make it run without involving witchcraft.
