Stainless steel has a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than mild steel. What that means for you is that the exhaust system hanger mechanism needs to allow the outlet to move back about 1/2" during sustained high load use. So, think about a cradle approach rather than a solid strap. I don't think that the bellows section in your system can accept that much compression.
From my experience with RX7 GT2 and GT3 cars with exhaust system layouts like this, you can expect 50 ft dB meter readings in the 103 to 105 range when the packing is new. (This is with the meter on the opposite side of the car from the outlet) If the packing is stainless wool, it will compress after a couple hours of operation and require more packing to provide any sound reduction. (McMaster has it in bulk)

Note that my setup is different with a resonator and muffler. I added a restrictor in the exhaust a few years earlier to make the system somewhat livable. You can see that in the link. I am not a Rotary expert by any means. But I have been told by others that my car is very quiet for a Rotary engine. It may have passed track rules but was still very loud for cruising.

On the flip side, I swapped a 302 Ford into a '79 RX7 and used a Y-pipe to hook to the stock Mazda exhaust just behind where the thermal reactor had been. I left the catalyst in place. (contrary to the service manual, that particular car had both)

The exhaust had a rather interesting rumbly sound; it didn't sound all that much different than the Wankel did, just throatier, and louder than I had expected considering what I'd read about Mazda exhaust.

I put a tap just ahead of the converter and ran a silicone hose to a 0-15 PSI gauge, which steadfastly sat at zero unless the four barrel was open *and* the RPM was over 3500 or so. Which told me the stock Mazda exhaust was quite efficient despite its modest size.

Well, a little bit of a productive weekend i'm glad to say.

First I installed by rear brake lines and put in the hydraulic ebrake (black thing) and proportioning valve (not black thing):



Then welded in a few tabs for hardline to softline junctions for the rear brakes:







Then I pulled out a piece of aluminum, cut it to size and shape and made a few holes in it:



Then I stuffed the holes with things that tell me stuff about things:



Ran the sending lines through the bulk head, and heat wrapped them, to make it look like I know what I'm doing:





Then popped my scuttle cover on to make me happy:




Then on Sunday I ascended this:

Made it to the top:

That was my weekend.

Not much happened yesterday, i'm still feeling a bit achy from the weekends hike, but I powered through with the notion of a little bit each day, no matter what.

Yesterday was 'install a hi-tech speedometer' day.

Thanks to "Otterbox" for this one. iPhone SE used as my speedometer:





37 mph without a steering wheel....crazy!!

I also got by accelerator cable dialed in with a new braided unit from Mr Gasket:

I use one for Android called DigiHUD.

Free, no advertisements, no data usage, just limits some frilly features I don't use/need.

It's replaced the nonlinear speedometer in my car for the last year and a half.

Unless something changed while I wasn't looking, these all use standard GPS technology. No data is basically used to use them. No different than a Tom Tom, et. al.
The only problem with this approach is how to have an odometer for a street legal car.
