Not very Locost but VERY Non-Traditional.
$pendy but appears well done.
At $30K posted more for inspiration than a suggestion that anyone buy.
No relation to seller, just an interesting find from a Miata forum.

For me the bubble flares ruin the look.

I would have made it a real wide body not just stick some flares on it.

He's using the molds he bought.
To me the early Porsche's look like an inverted bath-tub on wheels.
But it seems he has successfully converted an air cooled bug design to Miata so technically interesting.
Lots of other ex-Bug kits might also be suitable for a similar conversion.

As much as I love the speedster and other Porsches I think this front engine thing looks as silly as the bugeye kit on a FWD mini that was discussed this week. However, the love of cars is very much in the eyes of the beholder. The builder must be a proud man and perhaps what he has built would out perform the original German bath tub

Here is what I could have done with my corvair donor

I'd much rather drive that than the real Porsche.

My first time on the track was in one of those and it was the most glorified VW you'll ever drive. I was put in that instead of the XK120 because it wasn't fast enough for me to hurt myself. I was 17 at the time.

At least with the Miata underpinnings it would be fun to drive.

BTW I did finally get to drive the Jag once I'd proven I wasn't going to kill my self and it was worlds better and faster.
