Holy crap...It has been over 5 years since we last had an official SLAG/LAPS/SALE meeting. Sure there have been a couple of informal gatherings, which is exactly all that this is too just with a fancier title, but regardless it's beyond time for another.

Dates: I'll start it off with any Sunday after noon in October looks good to me as of right now.

Location: Open to suggestions. Garage gathering? Pub n' grub?

RetiredLarry: If you are reading this and do happen to have both the interest and ability to participate, feel free to chime in or reply to my PM, and I'll be more than happy to work the plans accordingly.

I would be quite interested in such an event.

Hey Justin, great idea. I'm good after mid-October. Pub n' grub works or my garage is always available and can be stocked with adult beverages and BBQ'd stuff.

What do you call a group of 3 or more Locost enthusiasts?

I have no idea, but that's what we've got. Does the of 20th or 27th work for either of you? Any preference to time (lunchtime, mid-afternoon snack, dinner) or venue? Is your garage heated Tom?

I just checked and it looks like Jerry H hasn't been on in a while, so maybe I'll shoot him an email too.

Justin, the 27th is better for me. I'm flexible on time of day and venue. My garage can be heated and could even be cleaned by then.

Paul, please get in touch when you are out here whether we have a gathering scheduled or not. Garage visits are always available. We're just on the other end of I-90 from you.

Ok, so after some off-line discussion, the tentative proposal is:

Sunday Oct 27th
12:30pm
Tipsy Cow in Woodinville
Followed by a trip to Jerry H's garage to see his work-in-progress.

In my book, a transient Locoster is as good a reason as any to get together. I take 'and the bracketing weekends' to mean something in the vicinity of Nov 23-Dec 1? I'd be game for something on the weekend before, or maybe even one of the early-week evenings. But if your schedule is tight, I'd at least recommend connecting with Tom and visiting his place you have the opportunity. He has a lot of great Locost (and not-so-Locost) stuff to see and talk about.

And I am sure I will be seeing at least one of you guys when I am out there. I will be staying at my sons's place in Des Moines.

With the Forum back up ( :yay: ) here's a re-post regarding the upcoming November 2019 Seattle area Locost gathering:

When: Friday, November 29 at 12:30 pm
Where: Seattletom's garage
What: Car talk, pizza and beverages

So far, JPS Europa, benny-toe, JerryH, Driven5, Seattletom and several friends and family members are planning to attend.
Other area locosters are welcome (Kartracer? Lotus19?) Let me know ( email or PM) if you haven't already, so there is enough pizza, etc. on hand and/or you need directions.

Hey Tom,

At this time Lee and I are a go. Sadly neither of our wives have much interest in standing around a garage, albeit a very nice garage, with a bunch of car crazed guys talking about their toys while they gobble pizza standing up

Sounds like a blast to me.

Cheers,
