The car is registered! Had an appointment at 9:45 this morning at the DMV in Reno. The inspection went fine I forgot to include a back up light but the inspector seemed to forget about that. I registered the car as a 1966 Lotus 7 replica so it is smog exempt. The vehicle inspectors and the smog inspectors where very helpful and wanted to get my though the process. The paper work for the registration also went smooth, the woman at the window had never registered a replica before and had to ask her supervisor for help but was very helpful. The only hang up was the insurance, I couldn't get it until I got the VIN number which was put on by the vehicle inspector so I was on the phone with Hagerty for 30 min.
I was out of there by 1:00 happy as can be. Came home unloaded the car off the trailer got the wife in the car and drove into reno to get a few things. Driving in traffic was a unique experience. I rarely saw the signals turn green as I was so low and the diesel pickups would blow smoke right at head level.

Congrats John!
Another Locost on the road.
Now remember, whenever you going out for a few things in the 7, take the long way around. And make sure you stop for coffee, that usually draws a crowd. And people honking at you aren't mad, they just wish they were in your place in the 7.
Ohh, and don't forget to keep grinning.........

Yes my wife saw many pointing and waving with one small girls jaw dropping as we went by. We posed for one picture in a parking lot and one at a stop light.
