Only rear fenders are purple.
Front fenders are black gelcoat
one nose cone is black with yellow Prisoner stripe
Other nose cone is in primer
frame members are painted light gray
Dash is carbon fiber look, not sure if it's cf or laminate. vinyl

Once it warms up a little this morning I'll roll it out of the garage.

I promised you guys some pics, so here goes.
The easy pics, hit up the album on the facebook page because resizing pics to upload here is a little bit of a pain.

Here are a few that I resized before I gave up

3 open projects.
Tetanus, the first one is in Florida

The R1 will go up for sale after the first of the year. Between now and then it'll get blue all over, and a few small upgrades

The Mini - Patches is shoved to the back of the garage. Once the R1 is ready to go up for sale, work starts again on Patches. Goal is painted before warm weather gets here and driving next summer

The Zetec car is last on the list. It needs the clutch lever sorted, electrical finished to use all the switches on the Escort column, a bit of aluminum finishing on the interior, form a bonnet, and paint. All of the primary systems are there and complete. It starts and runs well, may need a little mapping work on the MegaSquirt for fine tuning. I'll have to go through from front to back and inspect everything, tighten, torque, and safety wire important bits.

Man, that Zetec roadster was so far along. It's too bad the fellow (I'm curious: have we ever had a female builder?) couldn't finish it. But, then, all the better for you, I suppose.

Good luck with it.

Cheers,

Damn! That front slip angle is way too large and the Ackerman is just a muddle.

He had some personal issues and he just couldn't stand to look at this car anymore. Now he's converting a Mustang coupe to a fastback with some pretty cool engine plans for that toy.

Pretty sure I could be driving it around the neighborhood with one weekend of work
The electrical sorting will be the long slow part
