Hello:
I have been a Lotus fan since the late 60s, and had an opportunity to purchase the last "North American" spec Europa off the line while stationed overseas. Laguna Blue metallic with the "oatmeal" interior and a ton of gold pinstriping. However, I was set to return to the Midwest, and at the time, the only Lotus stocking distributors were in New York, Baton Rouge, and Seattle. Regrettably, I decided to back out of the purchase, and walked away.
Fast forward 44 years, through marriage, jobs, kids, and businesses; and more boring vehicles than I care to remember.
At my retirement party, my amazing kids (and their equally amazing spouses) presented me with a Brunton Stalker 1962 Lotus 7 kit for Miata donor drivetrain.
After building a 10 x 20 shop, and prepping for and building our house, I've been spending a lot of time putting together my "car".
Looking forward to following the conversations, and posting some photos to share this journey.

Welcome Tim

We have a pretty active sub-group out in your area. Someone will undoubtedly invite you to their future get togethers. Heck, if you haven't noticed yet, we in the Midwest have a meet coming up. You could come out for that too if you have an inkling. You don't need to have a Se7en to join us. I don't own one anymore but try to stay active. This group is a fine bunch.

First off Tim, welcome to the forum and thanks for joining. You will not be disappointed with the respect the members here have towards other members. And yes, pics are a must, and lots of them please. Conversations, well it has been observed that a times we do discuss car fabrication, and all in good fun when it does come time, one of the accepted spellings is br@cketz for attaching various items to your frame (remember this as it will be on the test).
Welcome aboard.

I was somewhat amazed at the number of people I've seen on here from the "Seattle Area".

Tim, welcome. We do have an active group in the Seattle area and look forward to meeting you as our respective "bubbles" expand. Lots of resources, contacts and talents among the locals.

Sounds like you have a fun build going. Keep us all posted.
