A serious gear-head neighbor recently passed away.
Among the fifty or so cars and projects he had are three aircraft.
One is an old fabric over tube frame type that was flown and does have a tail number.
It was crashed to some degree but appears mostly intact.
Not sure what/if there is an engine for it.

The other two are described as "Still in the boxes" with no further details.
I know there are a couple of fliers here.
Would there be any interest in my learning more about these?
His widow will not be building them.

I'd be interested in passing along the info. I have enough to do. Plenty of projects sitting on the ramp at small airports all over.

Like a locost, you don't need a kit to build one.

Anyone who's built/building a Locost will appreciate just how much went into this self-designed and built aircraft:

A 1/3-scale B17 that he flies.

I'd be curious what the planes are, but have no ability to go down that rabbit hole.
Had a former coworker that had a Vans RV6, IIRC. Never got a chance for a ride in that one before I left that company. Neighbor's parents had a Glassair, but it was based out of state, so never saw that one either.

I haven't flown (as PIC, or in anything non-commercial) in close to 15 years. :(
