This thread is one that's long overdue
New and old members, please introduce yourself to the rest of the crowd so we know who you are.
Feel free to share any details about yourself, whether it's another cool hobby, funny story or anything else.

I'll start - my name is Moti and I'm located in Socal - SFV.
Closing on 32 years of madness (there's a method to it, I think) and counting!
Daily driver and the official tow truck is a 95 Toyota T100, 4 cylinders and 150 angry gerbils!
Weekend driver is a 2001 BMW E46 M3 in laguna seca blue, the beauty and the beast rolled into one.
Used to race (time trials) in a sub-2000 lbs turbo Miata with 254 RWHP and 231 RWTQ.

Okay I'll go.

My name is Taylor Thorne and I just turned 18. Its awesome cuz now I can go to the hardware store and buy spray paint without having someone older there with me. lol

I live in Ione, CA about 45 mins away from Sacramento. I go to school full time at Folsom Lake College and planning to transfer the Sac State after 2 years.

Im building a +442 from a 1985 Celica GT-S with IRS.

I'm extremely biased toward Toyota and I have a good sense of humor. (Good enough to put 2 15" subs in my Mom's Camry while she was on vacation)(Which are still in her car)

My daily driver is a 1982 2wd pickup and I recently got rid of 2 1986 Turbo 4runners. :(

Next...

I live in Hamilton, New Zealand. I'm building my own frame based on the book, slightly larger in all aspects and some custom fabrication to accommodate the different suspension options.

My daily is a 1978 mitsi lancer , you guys would prob know it as a dodge colt

other hobbies include sports ( though you wont be able to tell :P ) and music( play bass and am all but addicted to loud music )

anywho, next :)

Russ Amos here. I live in the Kansas City area. I am over 58 yrs young. I have a British built Locost, RHD, with a gutless 1300cc xflow. Just like the book using a 1979 Ford Escort as a donor. I have had it for 3.5 years and I have no plans to get rid of it. I think I will be buried in it. I love bow hunting and motorcycle observed trials. I have a high maintenance 18 yr old daughter in college and a son who is a freshman in high school. Neither of which have any desires in my interests. I held the Midwest Gathering for 7's this last August and had (14) 7's attend. Pretty damn good for out here in the sticks!

William Conway, Atlanta, GA. I'm a hair under 31 years old.

I'm a mechanical engineer, but I've only started working on car stuff 4 years ago (hence the "Hack" tag). I've always been into cars, though, and the Seven has always been near the very top of the list of my favorite cars.

My daily is a 1997 Mazda Miata, which is a big reason why I'm building a Miata-based car. My car is going to be a tribute to the original Seven, which means I hope my car looks 50 years old when I'm done. Inside it'll be all modern, but I want it to look and feel like a vintage car. Sort of like if Morgan had bought the rights to produce the Seven, and not Caterham.

When I'm not working or in the garage, I like to spend time with my 1 y.o. daughter and wife, cook, write (blogs) and read. Locostering is my way of turning off the idiot box and doing something productive with my life.

Hi I'm Chet. I'm 37 years old, have three boys, 1.75, 4.2, & 5.5 years old. I design and build orthopedic appliances for a living. (leg/arm/back/neck/etc.braces and artificial limbs)
When I'm not at work I'm probably at home doing something boring like changing a diaper, wiping a butt, or working on my crappy house or one of my crappy cars. I built a locost in two years and sold it, someday I'll probably build another.
I like to ride bicycles, drive fast, shoot handguns, and look at naked women.

James Spalding. 35 years old. No kids, never married. I have a wonderful girlfriend, but we both agree we get along a lot better if we don't spend too much time together.

From 7:30-4pm M-F I remove, repair, modfiy, and install municiple wastewater pumps. The rest of the time I think about cars.

I recently bought a house with a huge garage, but the house needs some repairs done before I can spend time in the garage, so for now, I just mostly dream about what I will build when the time comes.

I'm Dominic - 44 years old, married for 20+ years, no kids. I work for a large University designing, building, and maintaining big corporate database systems e.g. student records, personnel, etc.

My car build is a scratch design middy with a roughly Locost outline - it was originally going to be finished before I turned 40  Maybe 50 :D When I'm not working on the car, I design and make small furniture and other woodwork, plus I read about 1 to 3 science fiction novels a week.
