Yes, congratulations to you. I hope you don't have to physically take the car down there to register it. As much as we like it, a bureaucratic type mind is going to implode trying to figure out where it fits in with respect to vehicle type. Good luck.

Test went really well, All temps and pressures looked good.
Chassis seems well balanced, but could only get to 80 mph.
Brakes were spot on and I took time to set the bias.

Then took it to the full race track but only got three laps in due to a torn CV joint boot. (not sure how it happened)
I only took it to 100 mph, so no real data yet

I own this car. It's gone from Washington state to Coastal North Carolina. It now has a turbo on it ( 420 rwhp ). I have been sorting the car since I bought it and haven't been able to run it with any aggression. Which has been the last year. I hope these images will get up loaded.

Wow, congrats on the purchase.

I , for one, would enjoy hearing a bit about what this car has seen and done since the build.

I have since painted the car white with a Martini livery. ( I haven't been able to post pictures yet )The previous owner installed a turbo. ( 420 rwhp @ 25 psi ) I bought the car knowing there were issues and I tried to sort it out without too much fuss or $$. The reliability just wasn't there.....I have essentially dismantled all the systems and serviced or replaced them. One of the biggest things I did was move the seat to the middle, rebuilt the engine, replaced the data logger with a MXG 1.2 log Aim system, new Pro Shift shifting system, and new MAXXEcu Race. I had the original Pro Shift system sent to the UK for testing and repair. Naturally while on the phone with them they sold me an updated system.....so I have the shifter ram, vacuum blipper, and control box. All tested and good to go. I am keeping the paddles. A $1000 shipped to the lower 48 for the shifter system. OBO.

That's a new one for me. I had to look that up. Did you mean totes jelly? Because tots jelly is a candy. I don't think you meant that. and if you meant "jelly tots", well, that's a another totally different meaning that also doesn't apply here.

But I do agree this is a very nice build.

I am hoping to have it running by the end of the month. I am using a new MAXXEcu Race. The original OEM computer w/piggyback boost computer, and harness was old and questionable. The harness was torn, melted in some areas, and the wires were hard in some spots. I will be interesting. I am going from a 1965 427w Cobra Factory Five Spec Racer with 600hp. Aero was really there to give some down force, but it also gave a lot of stability. I'm not sure how the transition from brute force mechanical grip to a very light aero car will be. My buddy who has also stepped out of a Cobra into a Radical SR3 finds it challenging. He usually runs a 2:01 at VIR.....now 2:06's. He's only had 4 events with the new car.

I have an aero question. I have 2 tunnels. They go 14" beyond the primary flat floor. There is about 27" between the tunnels. From my research on the Cobra aero. It looks like a diffuser would be nice addition between the tunnels to help clean up the air from the floor. Wouldn't this help the wing efficiency? I know kiwimanz did a lot of design work on this car and I don't want to mess up the air flow. But, it looks like it is begging for something to clean the air up after the flat floor.

Anyway....I hope the pictures came thru!

In the top picture you can see the space between the tunnels that a diffuser wants to be made for.

I am still looking for the builder contact info. I found some numbers in the binder the came with the car. There were a couple leads that went nowhere. Any help is appreciated!!

I love this view! A shame the carbon body isn't visible anywhere.
