Like a pesky Fly the idea of modifying my Tatum molds to make a three wheeler just will not go away.
I've swatted at it many times but it keeps coming back every time gas hits $4.00 Gallon or more.
I know a "Car" will not get bike/scooter mileage due to added rolling resistance but should still be very good.
A water cooled bike could be used and a list of those that would not need a modified oiling system would be handy.
A scooter should be more compact and I know they are not all little 125cc anymore.
But I have no idea at all if there are any scooters that would not require a modified oiling system.
If so, which?
Hoping for something fairly common and inexpensive as the other "Fly" buzzing about insist that there may be a market for these as a kit if I complete a demo unit.
To be PC and Current I should just go EV, but I despise the whole EV fallacy and have never been PC.
I have no desire to learn how to not get zapped with AC/DC power, it's gas or nothing.

So it seems I should be looking for a Maxi Scooter.
Found a list of the larger ones.
Suzuki Burgman 400/650
Honda X-ADV
Honda Silverwing
Kymco AK550 ??????? Sounds like a Chinese throw-away.
Yamaha XMAX 400
BMW C650 GT
Yamaha Tmax
Honda Forza 750

No details on oiling systems or water cooling readily available.

What about something like the CanAm Spyder/Ryker?

This is the Tatum.
Narrow the rear a bit and stick a Maxi under it.
Gets rid of the VW parts except the front suspension to keep it very simple.
Could be done with standard front fenders, cut down, cycle, or none.
Center is pure Formula car.
Should escape the worst Car requirements and be a lot of fun.

So far it seems I may be looking for a Honda CX650.
Seems to be a pretty compact setup, water cooled, shaft drive, and dry-sump.
There may be a more compact Scooter but info is hard to find.
