I was surfing around the web this morning and came across this thread over on the Jalopy Journal website. It shows a bunch of home made tools from a simple beading tool (with no rolling parts) to English wheels and everything in between. I've only gotten thru the first 2 pages of 85.

Thought it might be of some interest; and a way to waste some Sunday morning time.

Very cool. Thank you, Chuck.

This thread is very timely. It has occurred to me, particularly in the last few weeks, that I have to start looking at building my own tools for some things. There just isn't enough money in the budget to buy all the things I need, or at least that I think I need. I've looked at having some things done by specialty shops, but it is too expensive for a one-off Locost.

Here are two of my current (fab fetish?) interests:

1) Plan built, electric bead roller; Here ==> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aAOQAGsV38

2) Dimple dies. Here ==> http://www.offroadfabnet.com/forums/sho ... php?t=4568

Cheers,

I posted my Dimple Die plans here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14474

Inspired by a Pirate4x4 thread.
