Very nice and very impressive for a $775 machine. Certainly makes TIG affordable.

thanks,

I would check out the AHP welder, lots of information and reviews available online they have been available for a few years and even cheaper at $690. I had one it worked perfectly but I sold it when I moved to MD. But it looks like I will buying another one soon. The Aluminum scuttle I am planing on building will have to be made up of multiple pieces welded together, I am going to try the low temp gas bottle AL welding if that does not work then it will be another AHP.

I plan to buy the original machine mentioned. I actually sold my Lincoln to make it happen.

Previously I was going to go with the ahp but a friend had his hf crap out. Ahp made him send it in for repair on his fine. It was $120. Outside of that and the fact the pro tig now comes with a better foot pedal wins me over.

In reality I don't think either is a bad move

My buddy bought one and it didn't work when he got it. He sent it back and they sent him a new one (three times) none of them worked. If you are looking for a cheap TIG machine, the eastwood TIG200 is my recommendation.
