Shelves and stacks of steel, aluminum, and parts. Theoretically, everything I need, barring some rivets and wiring connectors. But nothing more is going to happen until I get the house remodel done.

[remodel: all the floors down to dirt, all wiring, all plumbing all the way out to the street, all interior walls, leveling the remains...]

The base Geo engines are simple TBI units. The Haynes manual has a useable wiring diagram; I used it to re-wire my wife's car after it tried to perform electrical seppuku. (transmission Park switch failed, harness protected the fuse)

The only two things you'll need to watch for are the clutch switch for starting and the A/C switch for fast idle. As far as I know you can just short across the clutch switch and the ECU doesn't care. Leave the A/C switch disconnected. Oh, the the idle air bypass is a pill bottle thingie on the firewall, connected with a hose; don't leave it in the donor car.

Minor low speed driveability problems are often carboned-up EGR passages in the head or intake manifold.

The correct Geo fuel pump is $300, but a GM TBI pickup truck pump works just fine.

I've never tried running one without the stock catalytic convertor and muffler, so I don't know how much "learn" headroom there is in the ECM.

Some of the Speeduino guys have had success with that ECM, but unless you're doing something perverted, I wouldn't worry about it.
