Here's a very good build log for a BRZ powered Middie, but so much of this would apply to a BRZ front engined car.

It answers many questions about how the BRZ parts integrate with standard Subie stuff.

I know one of the turbo issues was the starter was located on the wrong side, but did you know the starter can be relocated to the traditional location?

Here's the link to his photobucket file

The bellhousing pattern for the FA20 out of the BRZ/FRS/GT86 differs from all the other Subaru bellhousings. So getting a transaxle is going to require an adapter plate.

Might be worth actually reading the build thread, including posts #4 & #5 (http://www.ozclubbies.com.au/index.php?/topic/13375-migs-middy/?p=228073) where he shows that the FA20 DOES bolt up to the FWD box from a 2.2l Subaru Liberty (badged Legacy in your market I think).

Is anyone else having trouble viewing the thread? I registered on the forum but when I try to access the particular thread mentioned above I get the following:

Sorry, we couldn't find that!

Edit: It works now, apparently I had to wait for admin approval.

Can't get Photobucket to show the account build photos using the links thus provided. Assuming one has to have a Photobucket acct?

And even if you get them to post they will have a photobucket watermark obscuring every detail.

i use https://postimages.org

Create an account there and I use the forum link edited down to just the img link part.
