I think this was a race car that may have been offered as a kit based on the fiat x19. I spy some good engineering in the cutting torch carnage.
Looks like it's set up for a longitudinal engine to me rather than transverse like an X 1/9. And if it actually were a race car it'd be more likely to be longitudinal with a Hewland. Can't see any shift linkage remnants, which would be a fair clue from their placement.
Another thing that makes me say "kit car" vs "race car" are things like the radius rods being bushed rather than heim jointed. Wasn't really commonly done in period for race cars but fairly common on kit cars for better ride and they're cheaper.
It definitely looks familiar though, and I can't place it either. May just be "generic late 60's race car/exotic" looking.
EDIT: Had another look over the pics and in one the shift linkage IS visible, I hadn't noticed the car was right hand drive and was looking for it in the wrong place. Looks like it's put out well back and right from where an X 1/9 linkage would be to me. Shifter is on the far right of the car as is the linkage which is sort of a race car thing to do at the time.
