Hey guys,

I'm looking for a very flexible U-shaped trim to do the edges of my hood etc. Anyone know a good product? Panels are 0.050" thick and I want as thin as possible. Mcmaster Carr is out because they are weenies

Thanks,
Cory

Cory,
Get the real rubber, not vinyl. However, sometimes it is tough to get it to stick well to aluminum. I like the J style. It has more surface on the back side for the adhesive to grab onto.

I didn't know McMaster-Carr were weenies so I ordered their 1/16" U-channel. It's about 3/8" wide and only about 1/8" thick so it works great on my hood edges. No glue, it just stays there.

Thanks guys.

Aircraft Spruce has a good selection, if a little spendy. Also need some "E" channel which they have, so thanks for that link.

The problem with Mcmaster Carr is they won't sell to Canadians.... even if shipped to a US address and use a US card. Once they flag you, they won't sell to you at all. Hence the "weenie" part. Disappointing as they have a nice selection of stuff.

Cheers.

Oz has stores dedicated to rubber sections that you buy in lengths, Shirley the USA does too?

Don't know what Shirley has, but these guys have lots of extruded stuff. I have never bought anything from them.
