I would like to build a Locost chassis, use a Miata donor, and use the body panels purchased from Caterham. Does anyone have experience building with this philosophy? Thank you.

You can buy the body panels, shipping would be interesting.

Locost bodywork is not complex and does not require a high skill set to create.

There is more than one source for the fiberglass parts.

Mounting the body is more complex than forming the panels.

Engine choice primarily determines the chassis size.
Chassis size determines what nose and scuttle will fit or need modification.
Wider and taller allows a flat bonnet without protrusions and good ground clearance to the oil pan.
Build for a 1/2 inch bonnet to highest point on the engine and oil pan hanging one inch below the chassis.

Wings, nose, and scuttle would probably cost about $2000USD shipped.
Going through a US Caterham Distributor would probably add to the cost.
