Interesting build. Also watch the video on the site.

Don't think it could be considered Locost.

Cheers

Yeah, very cool car. The builder is a really nice guy too. I think the sound of it is right on too.

I follow Nicole Johnson's channel on YouTube. She always has so much fun with the people she interviews. When I get my Locost done, I'm going to invite her down to drive it.

Think she'll come? Probably not [LOL].

Cheers,

What a car! And that he is looking at starting another build! He is my age and refuses to "Rust out" in a rocker is inspiring.

I became very negative on YT car people. Over the last decade, I tried contacting five YT car people, all in the SoCal area, to see if they'd want to review Midlana. Doug DeMuro at least had the courtesy to respond, saying that he'd consider it, but no one else replied. I get it, they're busy, time is money, they're maximizing clicks based on what they review, and many other reasons. Still, just sending a "sorry, can't", or even "sorry, not interested", would have been much better than not responding at all. Yes, it really irked me, and concluded that their on-screen persona has little to do with their people skills.

Regarding Doug DeMuro, I'd contacted him earlier this year, heard nothing for months, so proceeded to putting Midlana on BaT. Only later did Doug reply. I get it, he's busy, but unfortunately the timing didn't work out. I don't know whether having his review of my car online would have helped it sell on BaT (what if he didn't like it, hah), but that's the way it goes. Hopefully they'll respond to your inquiry, but just be aware that your car will be subject to the channel's "what maximizes income the most."

When I saw the title of the link, I immediately thought of the Sports 2000 race cars that were built by Kris Heil for SCCA road racing which he named the Daedalus. I'd seen him many times at regional and national events. Low and behold, there he is in the video, reusing the name on this beautiful car. Cool.

Gorgeous car. Sad that it was wrecked. Anyone know if he ever repaired it?

He did. The repaired car is actually the one in the video.

Cheers,
