I suppose I have been lurking.I joined in 2012 as nidugo and in the interim I have only posted a couple of queries. My car has been licensed for a couple of years now, so it's about time I made another post. As you know a Locost is never completed, there are many improvements and additions I would like to do, but my production has certainly slowed down since the car was licensed. My objective was to make the car as Lotus-like as I could, in an attempt to replicate a Lotus 7 that I owned for a couple of years when I was in the U.K. from 1976 to 80. I failed somewhat in this respect as I did not realise that Ron Champion stretched the Lotus dimensions. and in order to pass my Ontario Safety Certificate, I had to add superfluous items like head restraints, heater/defroster, windshield squirter and back up light. The donor was an AE86, Corolla GTS, and it donated all the drive train (but the motor was upgraded to a JDM 20 valve silvertop), brakes, steering, wheels, switch gear, pedals and front struts (modified). I did not keep a build log which I regret now, if only for my own record, and building in a tight single car garage was not conducive to photography.
