Very nice David! Any problem with the ITBs on the AE86 engine? What ECu are you using? Whose nose cone is that?

I almost went with an SDS ECu on Rob's advice. He had such good luck with his and i was struggling a bit with the MegaSquirt

Surprised that the Curtis pieces were not up to expectations. Always heard good things about them. Don't think they are shipping any longer. Don't need one but might a ways down the road. Yours looks particularly nice. Must be all the prep you did.

Congarats, nicely done!!! looks like first rate workmanship. Any hassle with insurance in Alberta, here in Ontario no one would touch it so wound up on facility high risk insurance.

Very handsome, nice job! Now get out there and get some stone chips in the paint...its only the first ones that hurt.

Parts left out cost nothing and cause no problems!!

> No trouble with insurance. They needed an appraisal in order to insure as a collector car, and as such is only about 1/3 the cost of insurance for my other cars.

>The nose and rear fenders were full of bondo where the glass mat hadn’t been pushed into corners. No gel coat. The nose had a bump on the one side of the top that was so large I had to add more glass to the underside to avoid sanding through. The rear fenders weren’t even symmetrical; I needed to cut a 3/4”x25” wedge from one and insert it into the other fender. I suspect they made moulds from a real Seven than had the rear end rearranged, an as such was crooked. I didn’t open the boxes for a few weeks after they arrived, and when I opened the box expecting to find a nose, instead there was a shop vac (they did eventually send the nose). The front fenders initially looked good, but once I began prepping for paint I found many sections along the ribs where there were voids beneath the gel coat. Yes... a lot of prepping.
