So, this morning the forum is full of pop up ads (Vidal Sassoon???) and words inside posts that are links to yet MORE ads.

Looks normal to me, at least the first couple of threads I saw. Do you remember anything unusual about yesterday, something you ate, driving the Slotus upside down, lending your computer to a bunch of teenagers?

Good luck fixing that, I wouldn't know where to start...

My Ghostery app doesn't show any ad links.

Me thinks you need to lay off the [NWS PORN] cause it's infected your puter.

It sounds like you've been infected by an "Adware" program. It's a low-level, non-malicious virus program. Do an Internet search and look for some help on the various security forums if you don't already have an anti-virus program. Many can be detected easily, but some take real effort to find and disable.

BEWARE of free programs on the Internet that promise to clean all occurrences of adware and viruses for FREE. Many are the very programs that actually install them on your computer.

Good luck,

Lonnie

Yup... Adware was the culprit. I found it, erased it and said "Ptui on you and your family!"

Thanks for the advice, guys!

Yes, yes, yes, but did you buy any of those Sassoon products and, if so, how did it make your hair look and feel? Inquiring minds want to know.

But hadn't you heard? Both the goat AND the donkey dumped him!

What does that say about scraping the bottom of the barrel?
Where do you go from there?

WAIT! DON'T TELL ME!! I DON'T WANT TO KNOW OR EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
