FWIW, there have been a lot of rads mounted with isolation and many older cars and trucks had no iso.
I retained the iso in the miata which is between the brkt and the core support and added load bushings (blue in pics) to the ranger mounts.

Here's the start of the rad support, it's not decided if it'll sit forward as pictured or above the "floor" bar.

Here's the bracing. (Missing the top, Left to right beam for now)

So far I've mentioned a bit about a full fender body, well recently I got to talking with someone who can make a 3d model. Hopefully in the next month or 2 we can work things out in greater detail and do a few iterations before I start making the buck. Of course I'm a ways out on the body and it's all a bit ambitious but there's no harm in trying.

I’d move the rad back to be 3 inches from the UCAPs, widening the upper transverse rail a few inches to get around the rad and still clear the UCAs at full comp.

Made a quick wire frame for some ideas. Reminds me of an early TVR.

That Wire frame is Impressive! We are thinking alike as that's pretty much how the rear fenders should be along with the curvature around the hood.
Based on my own drawings there will be around 2ft of room forward of the axle so I'm trying to push the rad as far out as possible. The further it goes the easier it'll be to work on, run plumbing, and potentially vent the "exhaust" air out through the fenders or hood.

Added a bit more paneling, when the space is available I'll pull the drivetrain and finish the rest up. (Floor, trans tunnel, finish welding)

The rear panel comes down as low as the fuel tank rather then stopping at the frame. I'm thinking of making a little cubby in the open space Left of the tank, with the same depth and departure angle.

Havnt had space to work on the locost for a little while but I'd like to say it's still goin. The gas pedal has been test fitted, driveshaft built, and lower radiator mounts made.

The angle is too much, I'll likely have to cut out the beam running under the bellhousing.(beams normally missing in a locost to lower the engine but in this chassis its also missing above the the bellhousing to fit the girthy drivetrain further back)

Started playing around with the 1/4 wireframe buck to better see the body, and cardboard templates to see the side "barrel" shape in practice.

Spent the last 700hrs resurrecting this 52 gmc suburban, and we've kicked into high gear to get it painted so the locost languishes.

Still a long ways to go but after 20+ years she's coming back!

We're all juggling.

I love that shade of blue. Is that the original color for the '52?

Lengthen the upper links and shorten the lowers to set the angles. They do not have to be opposite angles, just equal.

The driveshaft is at 5° if I remember correctly, and I keep reading 3 as the magic number. If its not going to explode with that sort of angle, retaining some semblance of chassis rigidity would be preferable.

It's a VW color, painted as a single stage. It's a little darker in person and turns near black outside of direct sunlight.

If you remember the paint code, was it L630 (Cobalt Blue) or L633 (VW Blue)? I'm considering those for my Locost and your truck looks great!

No magic, just make sure it is less than 3 and equal. Zero is ok with a sprung diff.

Looks like the same color as my '63 bug.

To be clear, after 3° harmonics become a serious problem?

Having a hard time picturing a bug in anything but orange, white, and pale blue
