If your good then of course I am, but I just wanted to bring it up.

I appreciate any concerns and ideas people bring up. I just don't think it will be an issue given the low power and light vehicle weight. We'll see though.

About 99% finished with the engine mounts now. Had to take a little off the stock Miata mount shields to be sure they wouldn't foul the chassis, and after looking at them I decided that the engine end needed further bracing so I made a raised edge on both. The right side mount still needs the spacer that the starter bracket mounts to fabbed up and welded in, but I need to clean the starter before it gets anywhere near the freshly cleaned/painted engine, it's really disgusting as is everything else that was bolted onto the engine, it clearly was a leaker for quite a while.

Well, got the CNC plasma table running so one of the first things I did was make the footwell panel where the Tilton pedals/master cylinders bolt up and got it tacked in place. I'm thinking I may run a piece of angle across just above the master cylinder mounts. Probably overkill as the pedal assembly has four mounting holes on the bottom and the firewall is .105" thick... but nothing worse than pedals that flex when you use them hard.

Been a while since I did some overall pics of my progress. Bare chassis is when I brought it into the shop in mid-August until tonight.

Hi there - I noticed you have a history of '70's F1 cars and I'm wondering if you might help.
I'm still at the design stage but I'm very attracted to the one-piece rocker arms used in the late 60's/early 70's - see photo.
I think I have a fair idea how these were made but I can find no photos of what's under the skin in terms of dimension/materials...

Do you have any ideas, please...?

Rocker arm suspensions have been done on Locost chassis in the past. I'd do a search here and on the UK Locost forums which should turn up some information.

Sorry I didn't see this before, been dealing with some health issues this year.

Car is up for sale... I need to consolidate to a couple projects and this one lost the toss.
