The timing map will be the same. The fueling map will be pretty close. Close enough to get you started. The only weirdness will be some of the outputs I have assigned.

Now to keep an eye out for a MSP at a reasonable cost, preferably without an automatic trans hanging off the back. Not sure what the 2nd hand demand is for RX8 auto trans & don't want it taking up a bunch of garage space.

If you need any maps from an OEM 6 port PCM, let me know, I can pull them.

Here's the ignition tables. My fuel map is far from done.

I just ran across this video of assembling an RX8 pumpkin. There were some nice tips and I thought you might like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqeHzqXbVcM

BTW, I have an engine stand adapter for rotaries that I'll never use again. I used it on rebuilding my 13B (S5). I can't remember if it is a Rracing Beat or Pineapple Racing. If you could use it, $25 plus shipping and it's yours.

Thanks for the Dahm video, think I've seen that one & have watched a ton of RX7 rebuilds.
Let me think on the stand adapter. We welded up our own, but it's considerably larger than the aftermarket offerings, and I still needed some spacers to clear everything.

My original, optimistic, goal of having it moving under its own power by Easter is rapidly approaching & pretty much impossible to make.
A 1 year timeframe was almost laughable to begin with, especially with 3 kids (10, 7 & 1) and a full-time job.

Add in that we're looking at moving (which would allow for me to build a decent shop) and the timeline is being pushed way back.

If we move, I expect the Geauxkart to get buried in storage until we get situated & can get a shop built, or the garage (if the house has one) cleared out enough to resume work.

Yes, the real life stuff can really get in the way. If that's the way things go for you, just keep the dream alive, and get back to it when you can.

Good luck,

Well, I did say by Easter, just didn't specify what year
Original plan was Easter 22, but the lack of a welder & needing an engine pushed it back, along with the usual life stuff.

The Geauxkart's new home (hopefully) in late May/early June.

Reassembled into 'almost roller' status.
Trans, diff & 3 corners of suspension reattached & on the ground again. I'd forgotten just how low this is, since it's been on jackstands or a table for the last year.

She's sold, pending funds/transport. Buyer hoping to have it picked up this week before we move.

Your dog looks sad to see the Geauxcart go. :(

Her & I both.
She likes hanging in the garage when I'm out there, but it's quite toasty, even at 10PM

SOLD!

Pending pickup

Plan to still stick around & live vicariously through you all.
May start a new thread if I pick up the project BMW boxer I have my eye on.

Sad to see it go, and hope the new owner keep the progress posted.
