How os the front finishing off.
Also Am I seing it right, you cut out an opening for the top of the front fenders... Love it... I guess the material is flexible to allow suspension movement and turning.

I remounted the front fenders to a fixed mount like traditional clamshells.

Have you driven the car with the 1.4 ?
How the power delivery ?

Be careful with the adjustable rear spoiler. As you move it back the end plates get bigger and may exceed the 100sqin. At Nationals last year Peter was indicating that the jeeps endplates may be too big. We adjusted it to the higher setting and nearly took the saw-zaw to it.

It shouldn't be a big deal but it is an absolute pain to calculate the area with all the curves.

Yep. I did the calculation. I'm working on the front end plates trying to get to 35 sq.in. in a simple shape. Think I will just do a simple triangle ad get buy with 24 sq.in. and call it a day.

The aero rules really suck. On paper it looks like it should work great. When you actually have to make something it gets really complicated. Our concern was that it is a simple protest with no gray area. If your too big it's a DSQ.

Did first test tonight. Data log showed some additional tuning needed First autocross in 4 years tomorrow! It is fun to drive. Lots of torque.

After missing 5 seasons in this car, it is great to be back on track. All objectives were met today to start the sort process of what is essentially a new D Modified race car. My codriver William Loring put down an excellent time on his 4th run ending up 2nd FTD behind a KM shifter Kart on a rather tight and technical sub-40-second course. The car shows great promise as a pretty quick car on its first outing. Fun factor is a 10 out of 10. I could be biased.

Well done.. Car is looking great !!!

My last race of the season is done. I finished better than I started and I learned a lot about the car and me. It was a crazy day to start. The storm last night pulled the cover halfway off the car and in the process, snagged the emergency power disconnect switch resulting the battery draining completely because I evidently left a fan switch on. Jumped the car and barely made it to grid with a seat full of water. Then proceeded to DNF 3 times in a row missing gates. Never done that before. Settled down in the afternoon then dropped time with two good runs. Then they had timing issues and I got 3 reruns in a row. Tires were getting greasy now so I did not improve. My work assignment was a corner when the entire course was swarmed by a gnat infestation followed by a flying spider swarm. Everyone was covered with webbing. The weirdest thing I have ever seen. Got a first place and last place trophy as the only driver in D Modified. Still happy I made the event and have a lot of data to review for next year.
