Also, in reference to the bolt patterns, TR2 through 6 had a 4 1/2" PCD.

You are correct, that is what happens as one ages. To much information in the old brain and it does not all come out correctly at the right time.

It’s been awhile, was this build ever finished? I like the idea of a Sprite based S1 but wonder if the narrow rear axle would allow enough cockpit width even for an old skinny guy?

Morris Minor axle is wider, almost the same as MGB.
Uses the Spridget wheel bolt circle and can use the Spridget diff.

It has been a while but I think i have a solution for the "butt too big for the Sprite axle" problem. It involves using a seating arrangement similar to the Sprite. with the seat further forward and higher. I look forfard to it being easier on my back as well.
