I have a working shifter.
Need to move the lever forward about 2" and maybe a little shorter but it works and everything clears.

I was just looking at you shift lever again. It's quite a piece of work. A lot of these details take 2-3 times what a person might expect.

One of my build frustrations has been not having a decent lathe to work with. I have a little Harbor Freight mini-lathe, but it is so slow (just 3-4 thousands each pass), that I tend to design around having to use it.

Cheers,

Yep, lots of work,Lonnie.

Trying something that is new to be. Plating.
What a pain. But the steering shaft will be all shiney with the shifter.
Maybe better than paint ?

The plating looks good. Where did you find out about the process and raw materials?

Cheers,

How long do the solutions and kits last? Do you have to plate everything at once and the dispose of the solutions, or can you store them and plate additional items from time to time?

Cheers,

No, you can use as needed.

Some of it will last a long time. Stored properly.
