I found lug nuts last night. I’ll try the chrome. The vents that came with this are cheap plastic so 3 of these will be on order. I’ll find a place for them. The heat will be defrost only. Doubtful it will get used much anyway.

Got the tunnel closed up, except where the steering goes through, I’ll close that when I get to it. Had to do something different and make a adapter for my wheel center. This came out awesome. Just what I had imagined. I won’t have a horn there, oh well.

It’s been hard to get in the shop the last month. Finally made some bracelets for the heater, had to cut out the center console. I’ll put structure back, not sure how that looks yet. Mounted the AC and the axle shafts showed up. Beefy little guys. Tomorrow the housing gets blasted and I have to find someone to put the carrier together. I bought this housing without carrier bearing caps. I didn’t really know the repercussions of that until this week and had to buy aftermarket ones that need to be milled. You can’t just use any caps. So I have everything to put the rear and front together, it’s just bringing it together.
As you can see I started welding the trans tunnel together. Not very good with mig. I may put that down and Tig the other side. Quite a bit of grinding to do, and I hate grinding.

Looks good to me. I've seen and mig'd worse. It does not need to be water tight. That is what seam sealer is for. Most vehicles are spot welded lap joints and goo.

Much better though. Fixed up my mounts a little so they don’t rattle. Finish a little welding and move to front suspension I think.

Yeah, pedals!! I bent up some 18ga for a throttle mock up. It will work well, I’ll have to weld one it’s flimsy. The offsets work and should still have room for a column.

Here you are a step or two (or ten) ahead of me on that point. I was wondering how I was going to relocate the gas pedal pivot. And here you are showing it to me. I never saw that panel that you mounted it to. Looking back in some photos, there it is on mine too. I like your plan.

Are you planning on coming up thru the shelf with the throttle cable as in the OEM design? It looks close for interfering with the brake pedal assembly. I'll have to check on mine too since I am using the RB Power Brake assembly.

Chuck your funny. The only thing that needs to happen is the bracket needs to be at least 1/8 steel. It sits behind the brake, I don’t think it will be an interference problem. Yes I was hoping to come in from the top with the cable.
