I used to have a 4'x4' tire trailer that I pulled behind my old Miata.
I would rather not have to get another trailer etc. to pull behind the 7.
I want to put slicks on it next year, and it's too far to the track to drive on slicks.

I'm looking for ideas on how to piggyback the tires behind somehow.
thanks
Doug

I suggest one of those tiny trailers "kits" from HF or HD. You need more than just tires... jack, chairs, cooler, tools, tire pressure gauge, etc, etc

If you have a hitch on the 7, I'd say one of those hitch 'baskets' of sufficient size to hold 4 tires would do it.

I've also seen some custom builds specifically for carrying wheels, in effect 2 bars on the bottom with a bar going through the center of the wheels, towers on each end to hold the center bar in place.

I never liked the "hitch baskets" that use a single receiver due to the rocking L/R. I built my own using 2 receivers. It would be easy to modify the concept to carry 4 tires and a toolbox. Building one to suit your specific needs should be easy for a Locost builder.

The double receiver is a great idea for stability & could up the weight capability as well.
Your design could easily be modified to accommodate a tire carrier model.
