Thanks for that.
Unfortunately, the Torsen ones are expensive, at least $800. I don't think that I really need it for street use, right?

The diffs themselves usually aren't that high, but prices for all Miata stuff have shot up the last year. I'd keep a close eye out on Miata buy/sell groups on FB near you, FB Marketplace, and Craigslist.

As for whether you "need" one. Car would certainly move forward with an open diff, but there's a world of difference in sportier driving between an open and Torsen. My last track car was a '97 Miata. It started out life with an open diff and I upgraded to the torsen. It all depends on whether you just intend to cruise sedately or actually drive the car.

I'm about to cut the metal, and I have a question for those who built, or building a 442E chassis.
It seems like, one angle is missing from the Engine Bay Bottom Side Rail F1 & F2.
One side has a 15.3/74.7 degrees, but there is no angle given on the other side. It should be the same, or not?
I would appreciate it, if somebody can help me out with this info.
Thanks

I have finally started cutting metal.
I have decided to go with the 442E chassis.
I have a quick question. I have looked over the drawings, and I have noticed that F1/F2(Engine Bay Bottom Side Rail) have a missing angle at one end.
Anybody could help me out with that info, it would be much appreciated.
I have picked up a mini mill and mini lathe to help with the build.
With the mini mill, I'm hoping to be able to cut the "weird" angles better, that with manual grind cutting.
Also, the lengths will be much more acurate, and square.

The front angle is parallel with the rear angle.

Good to see you moving forward. Maybe start a build thread? Your progress would more helpful to newcomers that way, I believe.
