Have not posted for a long time ( 5 years or so ) but now I come with hat in hand ,asking for HELP I'm looking for aluminum extrusion for the wind shield . What is the best profile to use and where to get it from , I'm in Vancouver Canada .

Below is a chart for some locally available aluminum channel.

Just make sure the gap width for the windshield (A - 2C) is wide enough to accommodate the thickness of the glass and any gasket material between the glass and the channel.

The tougher part will be bending the curve in the channel without kinking it.

I second getting the channel at the glass shop. The best channel is increasingly hard to find. Box store channel is too thin in wall thickness My laminated glass was 0.350" thick. Besides bicycle tube or silicone, buytl tape is clean, cheap and effective. It has a play dough consistency you can roll into whatever thickness you want and the excess is just rubbed or trimmed off with a razor.

Satin, 3/8 legs for easier to bend corners, 9/16 wide overall minus /0.375" for the glass for a .093 wall versus typical 0.625 1/16th wall:

I got my channel from Home Depot and the rubber strip from a local glass shop. I followed the directions from Jack at http://www.kineticvehicles.com/
I cheated as I didn't bend it across he top. I will make a full wind shield later/
I would have used the rounded corner channel from Jack but I am trying to go with a wind deflector to register the car without wipers.
