Following further into this. What do you guys consider to be a 'good' price for the steel for frame construction? Would be nice to have a frame of reference when making some calls for quotes. |

I've been using Online Metals and picking it up at their local warehouse to avoid shipping charges. They happen to have a 25% discount running today, but I usually get 10-15% off by being a frequent buyer. Good website for sizing and pricing.

I have just purchased this one(the last one): https://www.vevor.com/collections/power ... alloy-base I hope it will work well. Got a $5 code off, free shipping and no tax= $199(!) There are different variations on Amazon, but there is another one, looks pretty much the same, under Anbull name. https://www.amazon.com/Anbull-Portable- ... B08DHKF8MJ |

Luckily, I only need a small amount of steel to finish the frame I bought. Need to measure & contact the local place I've talked to before about picking up what I need to finish. |

To the OP, that's why race cars use threaded rod ends and shocks with threaded collars. They're not just for wheel alignment, but also to "tune out" all the build inaccuracies. |
