I was checking out places looking for stuff and came across 100 frames built for an RSK 60 design. It’s an hour drive from me in the summer months so I’ll probably check it out once the snow melts. Just posting because it might help someone out.

Had to look that one up. The frame is just the start of the work unless the builder can also source the pretty shell.

Area code 705 is in the Ontario (Canada) area.

Instant middy!
If you don't mind the intended donor parts a body is the least of issues.

If they have 100 frames sitting around you would think someone must have made some bodies to go with the frames. Sounds like a replica business that went bankrupt.

That what I thought too, somebody’s dream went up in smoke. Check out the email address, Ricks Towing.

It would be interesting to know what kind of donor was required for the mechanical components. If they were from a VW, that could be a very attractive project for some folks.

Cheers,

Porsche = VW, as confirmed by the wheels.

Be careful! There was a "Rick" on Club Cobra that burned a lot of folks with w "re-release" of Classic Roadsters Cobra. He was in the Ontario area. May not be the same guy, but he was a real piece of work!

As mentioned Parry Sound is near my place and it’s a small community and I can easily check this out. I mentioning this because there’s often a lag time between thinking of a project and then doing it. $100 space frames are not an everyday thing. That $100 Canadian so, about $75 US.

And there are probably bodies available from other makers.
One of those kits that will probably always have someone doing them.
The drive-train is VW so not Hadron-Collider difficult.

Seems like these should be shippable two at a time if the seller would cooperate.

I think this is a drive up with a trailer kind of deal and load up as many as you can carry.

I joined Locost last year looking for ideas for my build which has changed gears. I learned there’s huge interchangeability with the VAG so a VW engine will likely fit an Audi transaxle which is actually a Porsche transaxle, or is it the other way around. So there’s lots of possibilities with that tube chassis. I’ve decided to stay with a Boxster chassis and fit a 0E1 Audi transaxle to an Audi V10, simply because I like the sound. That and a 525 hp Boxster should be good for a giggle too. But if I do it that won’t be for a year but once I decide then I’ll start shopping for parts.

Ontario, not Calgary, so too far away to drive up. :BH:
And of course my passport is expired.
I wonder how many I would have to buy in one lot to get shipping cooperation?
I see a phone call in my future.

Richard, Canada will not let us in unless we are deemed essential workers. :BH:
