Anyone know what type of engine mounts these are, mine are getting a little saggy after all these years, I would like to replace them the next time I pull the engine out.

Those mounts have been cut in half (maybe from the person who swapped out the mazda for the honda?). They can't sag as it is just a little rubber over the steel shell, but since only one side can be bolted down, they would be free to lift up under load or throttle lift without a limiter strap on each side. That would be the easiest thing to do.

I don't know what the mount application was originally looking at this half of the mount. They remind me of a universal mount from the 80s that is no longer available.

You'll probably need to have some fabrication work done to adapt mounts to fit the space you have. I could draw on your pics of the area, a bracket design for specific mounts but you'd need a fabricator hands-on the car to make them. The engine has to be supported in the right position for the driveshaft angle among other things then the brackets made to fit.

Ignoring the one person trying to help you undo the damage. Brilliant!

I see you have an engine swap topic here and it looks like it was the cmc builder that butchered the mounts. If the center bolt is clamping the chassis and the engine mount brkt, you basically have no mount. There is no isolation. Only rubber should connect one side of the mount to the other.

Cut in half, that does look to be the case. They have sagged as I have had to add a spacer below the mount to get some clearance back. They do offer quite a lot of isolation. The K24 is known for vibration especially as I have removed the balance shafts.

What's next?
How thick do the mounts need to be to keep your mount brkts and how tall is the tube on the bracket?

Maybe seven/jag mounts? Clean sheet of paper with mounts that are completely different?

I agree a total redesign is in order. With my track days schedule starting only a week away at NJMP a couple of 3/16" plates under the mounts will work for now. I am considering a dry sump system because my ground clearance is very limited. A dry sump would allow me to lower the engine and still greatly increase ground clearance. So I will revisit this in the fall.

Thanks

Graham
