I remember those. Excellent example of a well designed kit.

I like the Rollerskate, sort of. It does look like a generic kit car, but the windshield is interesting feature. Although the windhield is flat, the bonnet gives it a curved look along the bottom while covering the wiperarms.

A guick google found there was another model being co-developed alongside the Rollerskate that may look just a bit more familiar. Only the one prototype was made. Sort of a more modern Sevenesque design. more about it here:

I remember the PBS program Auto Week building a Rollerskate kit. They would tackle a different section each week until it was completed. Then they gave it away via a lottery. It was an interesting project.

No not the same, Perry. They were assembling a pretty well thought out kit.

But that was many years ago and I have slept a lot since then.

Cheers!

This sort of listing is why I have to begin every day telling myself, "You have a Lotus Europa to finish!".
It does not help that I could buy this cheaper than finishing the Lotus. :BH:

I remember being briefly enamored with a "Lotus Seven" type kit called a Gambler Ace, manufactured in Renton WA. Never saw or heard of them since, likely another of those kit car companies that died before they delivered a single unit.

Just saw this '97 Miata on Facebook Marketplace for $1k. Not sure how complete it is. Supposedly taken apart due to an engine oil leak. If it is all there and true, that shouldn't deter any one of us. Located in Zion IL. Could make somebody a good donor

Looks like a 97 M-Edition, one of my favorite NAs

MGTD kit car project on eBay for a BIN $275. It looks like a good start for somebody.

It is mistakenly listed as a 1948 Ford Roadster

I was in contact with the seller. He sent me a photo of the assy manual. It is a MG Magic kit. Uses Mustang II parts (suspension, rear end etc). He purchased it from someone in the south. Has no MSO to help get it licensed. Desperate to sell it, he's moving the 1st week of Feb and did not want to move it too. It is missing a lot of the trim and assy pieces it looks like. What you see in the photos is all he has of the original kit.

I was kind of interested in it because I could stick in a SBF along with the front suspension upper & lower tubular control arms I already have on the shelf.

But, my Lotus & Cobra are still in the line to finish.

That's the get this thing out of my life price. Would be a fun start to a "homebuilt" instead of a kit for licensing or an open very slow autocross car.
