No engine of course, but even for parts I would be on my way to get it if only the check that is "In the mail" was in my hand. :BH:
I would graft a Track T nose onto it for an instant Indy Roadster build.

I've seen these successfully made into street cars and hill-climb cars.
Since my check may still be weeks away I thought some folk here might be interested. :?:

I'm with you on this one, Richard. Ads like this are why my wife is grateful we have no storage space at our house.

Cheers,

Damn! That front slip angle is way too large and the Ackerman is just a muddle.

Huh, hundreds if views and no one has bought it yet?

:chev: I'm thinking a 283 (RPM TO THE MOON!) & Poweglide, or maybe Muncie and mount a remote shifter system outside the body.
No matter as I'm sure my check will not show up in time, it's only three weeks overdue now.
I looked up the cost of a competitive engine to make this a real Sprint Car :ack: , no way!

If it's like most Sprinters, you'll need to budget some money for a rear axle, too. Totally locked! Usually a one-piece axle with a flange in the middle to mount the ring gear.

Still... could be a very cool project!

The scary thing about this is how quickly the major issues are resolved!
The center can be made merely "Posi" instead of locked, not free but not horrible, and still a Quick Change!
The chassis/wheelbase can be lengthened to a "Champ Car", creating the room for a bell housing and transmission. :D

Today I got an email confirming a decent size check I have been waiting on will arrive next week.
Also today, the ad has been pulled. :BH:
Tried to send an email anyway, hoping maybe he just got tired of waiting on a buyer.
CL did not forward the email and I never got a phone number for him.
I expected it to go this way, seems such deals always do. :ack:
