Does anybody have a copy of any of the following books they'd like to sell?

Build Your Own Sports Car: On a Budget by Chris Gibbs
Build Your Own Sports Car by Ron Chapman
How to Build a Cheap Sports Car by Keith Tanner

For some of us old geezers, PDF's don't hold a candle to real print. I can fan thru pages of a book faster than I can open the computer and then open a file and use the "find" function. That is, if the PDF was scanned as a searchable document rather than a collection of photographed pages.

I don't have my Champion book anymore. I do have "Lotus Seven and the Independents" if you are interested.

Thanks Roy. I did check out the links and got on of the downloads. I do prefer paper for more in-depth matter. I can print the one I did get, so that solves that.

Jim - Did you obtain a copy of any of the books?

If not, I have a copy of the Chapman book that you are welcome to. It's all there but the cover is loose from the book sitting open too long. The catch is that you have to drive over here to Woodinville to get it.

Orcas huh? I have a fond memory of a girlfriend taking me for a rapid ride up Mount Constitution in about 1982.

Jim, I used the PDF of the Haynes book to print it out on 11 x 17 paper, much larger/easier to read than the original book and if I mess up a page in the shop I can always reprint it. I just put it in an 11 x 17 binder I got from Amazon to keep it all sorted.

Might be an option to consider, as the Haynes book at least is absolutely silly priced usually.

Jerry, Sorry for the slow reply. It got lost in the shuffle of life.

I'd love to come to Woodinville to get the book, but living on Orcas for a dozen years makes one kind of provincial. All the way to Woodinville? Of course COVID-19 has certainly changed things for us. We haven't been off island in over a year for anything other than medical appointments. I will keep it in mind though. I'd love to see your build.

I may or may not have ever had spirited runs up the mountain. My wife's electric Kia Soul is a hoot. Gobs of torque, low center of gravity, and powerful regenerative braking, all make a nimble package for a tightly twisting mountain road. Not that I would ever find that out of course.
