I want to use a Buick 215 for the 442 build.
So I need to find a core or good engine and goodies.

Goodies would be an interesting intake, custom valve covers, and 4-speed compatible bell-housing.
Headers would be great too but will probably have to be modified.

I have a lead on a full race engine but that is not feasible for this build.

Did you ever find one?

If I have not missed it there was one on CL from a TR8 with the LM77? 5-speed and bell included.
A little high priced since it still has to be rebuilt.
Included some other TR8 parts I might be able to resell.
Funds in my bank Tuesday, I will make a call then.

I’m picking one up this weekend and have no immediate plans for it. Unfortunately I’m in PA, but can easily strap it to a pallet for transport. Let me know if you find one and I’ll keep you posted on the one I’m buying.

I may have screwed up.
Did not bother the guy with the TR8 set until I had funds in hand.
So of course he has now sold the transmission. :BH:

I've found an unassembled short-block with a lot of nice work done, but not sure how I make 10.5-1 forged pistons work on the street.

Going to see a local guy tomorrow who has a couple of engines, in the past he would not sell them.
But lately he's been trying to raise funds to buy some land, so maybe now?
