Want To Buy, "Lotus" or other interesting alloy valve cover to fit a Kent 1600.

Putting a Kent 1600 into my Locost, need a lower profile valve cover and most of the alloy ones should work.

Lotus would be ideal but open to other possibilities. Original tin version has a very tall breather extension.

In the USA Kent 1600 was most common in early Pintos and Formula Ford racers.

I gave up trying to find an aluminum valve cover so I cut my fill tube (breather extension) down to clear my bonnet on my Kent motor. I also had it powder coated yellow to match the yellow stripe down the middle of my Locost. Russ

You could fab one out of plate aluminum and TIG weld it.

I just did a search and found two interesting ones. The Ford Racing part : $105

Or maybe this Cosworth one? $131

Sorry if it doesn't fit. I don't know all the various details of a Kent engine.

Cosworth looks like the winner if they are in stock.
I had seen them before but lost track of the source.
EDIT, of course they are NLA. :BH:

The Ford part is cheapest but fairly mundane.

I may get a blank one of these and have it engraved to my liking.

Listed at £108.00 plus shipping.

EDIT: Looks like Burton Power sell the same part for a little more.
Pretty certain they post to U.S.
