Just something I came across, not mine. Actually looks like a decent project at a decent price.

With deals like this cropping up I will never get the credit card paid off!
I'm probably safe since I've never been able to complete a distant CL purchase without someone local beating me to it.
Wonder what he had planned for the rear axle?
I'm thinking TR7.

I don't know. The listing says the wheels fit a Spitfire along with a bunch of other Spit suspension parts.

Did you see his other listings? DCOE and manifold for a Spit $400; and GT-6 rotoflex rear axle system with rebuild parts, everything out to the brake drums, not including the pumpkin $250. He seems to be a Spit guy. The frame seems to be designed for a solid rear axle as in the book.

I am communicating with the seller.
Any chance of D or SL confirming the seller is real?
So far I've not been burned, but "Too good to be true", and "One born every minute" plus 'Net leaves me a little nervous here.

Missed it by "That" much! :(
I was out when he called back, then I could not get through on the number he left. :BH:

Here's one in Monterey. Looks like California is the hotspot for unfinished projects!

Same car as the OP.
Buyer/seller gave up on his plan to use an Alfa transaxle type drivetrain as it was just not going to fit.
I did manage to buy the wheels from him, but cannot do the rest of it right now.
