Just developed an interest in the Terrapin Mk5 - yes, I'm a few . . . decades too late - looking for a set of plans, or a currently reliable lead. Attempts at contacting the usual sources (Rob Macknay, "Jawfish" forum) have failed thus far.

if anyone wants/needs the HSLC 1st edition (it looks its age, but not a day older), please ask - a used copy of the 4oth anniversary edition is on its way here...

Thanks,

Bob

Do you have a Mini to start from?
I started to gather parts for a Geo Metro based version twice as they are much more available.
But I still have a dozen projects in front of that one so sold off the pieces each time.
Still think it would be a great project.

No Minis on hand - thought about using an "Austin American" (Austin 1100) - those occasionally show up for sale for dirt cheap, but not always with a manual transmission. A Suzuki Swift GTi/Geo Metro was also on my search list.

Currently on the top of the "I'm Gonna" stage of the project: Scale it up as little as possible and run a Taurus drivetrain (Taurrapin?) - an early SHO/5 speed is the obvious choice, but even a 3.8 Essex/AXOD-E has potential to be cheap and fun.
