:BH: Why are all the best deals in Oregon?

Buyers, if an Elan windscreen is not available, an Opel screen is. Spitfire might also be workable. Could rework the body for doors if needed for closed motoring or fit pin mount curtains and simple top.
a common, early focus duratec or zetec drivetrain would be a good fit.

Hi, is the kit crated for transport? Do you have a list of parts/ items included, and what’s needed to complete it?

Just as a point of reference, $5K is about what a lot of body ONLY kits sell for!

It is not crated.
Kit includes Body (front clam, rear clam, center section), chassis, all suspension (including wishbones, rod ends, bushes, rocker arms, mounting bolts. In addition I purchased springs and Alloy bodied AVO dampers, uprights and hubs, LHD steering rack, aeroscreen and headlight fairings (bucket seats no longer included).

Wow, is the economy cratering so much that nobody will take advantage of this deal? I have 3 projects in line ahead of it and am still damn tempted.

Some more photos.
I have not included photos of
1. the coolant pipes and aluminium (British kit), angle that is used to mount the side pods.
2. steering rack (lhd Mk2 Ford Escort)
3. aeroscreen

Lastly, I had forgotten that I have already test fitted the bucket seats and fitted sliders etc. for the Exomotive Exocet that I also have, so these seats are no longer included.

A I am sure many can appreciate I never anticipated selling this kit, but to say its the `end of a dream' is too grand a statement. It is the end of many years of musing and so it is not something I relish and my enthusiasm is limited. At this point in I am not prepared to ship this kit or negotiate on price. First person with cash and means to take it away is the lucky new owner.
I will reply to all the PMs with my email address which is the best way to reach me.
thanks

@kreb

the chassis is a LHD chassis (as is the included steering rack). The difference in the chassis comes in the length of the drivers footwell which is longer to accommodate pedal box and master cylinders - I was intending to use a wilwood pedal box. The fuel tank would typically sit in front of the passenger footwell, although as I may have mentioned I was planning a long thin central tank in the tunnel where the coolant pipes and gear change cables would normally go. I was planning to put the gearchange on the sill next to the driver as per the original GT40 race cars and run the cables down the side in the pod. Coolant pipes would be moved to the passenger sill pod. But all of this is at the discretion of the kit builder and some thought has to be given for intended use and weight distribution (i.e. fuel capacity and its location).
The kit was originally built as a UK vehicle and there is only one mould for bodywork. Consequently there is a bump in the fiberglass on the RHS intended to give more dash space for an instrument binnacle. Rather than just cut this out and move it to the other side, my plan was to take a mould off the front clam and make a second identical bump for the LHS where the driver sits on this side of the pond. The car would end up with two humps on the clam and was thinking this would allow a double dash for a small glove compartment or maybe a period rally trip or clocks for the passenger side.

Somebody buy my 914 Outlaw project so I can make an ill-advised cross-country trip to buy this!
