The Goblin group has joined us for the Midwest Gathering a few times and has been inviting Locosts to join their events. Their next event is coming up in Oct. Lonny, the owner of DF Goblins has recently moved to Mountain view AR and is having a house warming party for anyone interested. I dont think there are any formal cruises like we do at the Midwest Gatherings and each is on their own for figuring out lodging. check out the link below if interested.

I have been working on my next Midwest Gathering plan, this time I was planning on basing the event in the Eminence MO area, so I may take the opportunity to go to Mountain View and do some road scouting around Eminence in the same weekend.

Sounds like fun but I have way too many irons in the fire to do that this fall. Both kids getting married is putting a crimp in my driving time. Russ

We were in the KC, MO area over Labor Day weekend. Didn't do much scouting around, but the little we did manage off the freeway provided some nice road, provided you aren't stuck behind a crawler.
~800 miles 1 way from Houston to the Blackwater/Odessa area. Would be a heck of a drive in a 7, especially at ~20mpg. Though stops would probably be more frequent/needed in race seats & harnesses.

sounds like a perfect opportunity for you to get away to unwind after months of stress planning weddings.
