Hi guys Happy Holidays. It's nice to be here!

This is another one of those I'm gonna have fun when I get one posts!
I know, we've seen a million of those but I'm really closer than most!

Recently inheriting a Birkin S3 I finally have the type of car that I've wanted to build for decades.
It's in storage and hope to bring it home from California around Christmas.

Seen only twice now, it's in pretty good shape and runs with a jump. I should be able to drive it around fine with a new battery and a day of clean-up and maintenance.
I'm pretty excited but finding that resources here are limited for this 7 style car compared to all those in the UK. I'm interested what activities there are in the Northwest with these things and fellow owners in the area.

I'm not sure how 'online active' my brother-in-law was and wonder if he and the car was known in any of these forums.

Anyway, I'm down by JBLM and look forward to perusing these forum stories and before too long some wind in my hair outings!

Dan

If by "this 7 style car" you men the birkin S3, then true dat, and be warned that this group is mostly focused on from-the-ground-up builds rather than kit builds. Your best bet for Birkin-specific resources is going to be <https://birkindirect-usa.com>

[edit: Hey Dan, why don't you tell the fellas that don't live around Puget Sound what those initials you live near stand for.]

Dan
congratulations on your new acquisition! I hope you enjoy your car as much as the rest of us.

Two other resources for you may be Beachman racing in your neck of the woods. While Caterham focused, Bruce is a good guy and great resource. The other is usa7s.net surf on over and introduce yourself. Just like LocostUSA, the forum is friendly and full of some extremely knowledgeable boffins.

cheers

Welcome, Dan. Look forward to your seeing posts and progress. And lots of pictures!

Hopefully, we can have another Seattle-area 7ish gathering sometime in 2021. Look forward to meeting you then.
